I’m Derek.

I approach therapy as a fellow traveler.

A lot of the people I sit with feel disconnected from themselves, unsure of what they actually want, or trying to understand why they keep ending up in the same place. I often work with people who are seeking to process major life events that have become buried and are now ready to face them. I also work with couples navigating relationship challenges and are trying to meet each other again.

I approach therapy as a fellow traveler, with curiosity and a desire to really understand you. I see it as a collaborative process to put the puzzle of your life together. My style is warm, thoughtful, and honest. There may be a joke here and there, but above all else, I want to create a space where you feel safe to process your experience with support.

I realize that starting therapy can feel like a big step. If anything I’ve shared here resonates with you, let’s connect and see if this feels like the right place to begin.
